What Does "Doing It Myself" Mean?

 Many of you have asked us the question "How exactly can I do it myself?"  From our experience working with you, we have devised a short list of your most common questions.

Question:  What kind of instruction do I receive?

Answer:  We collect information about your wants, needs and general lifestyle and craft them into detailed landscape drawings for you to use in the construction of your outdoor dream (see question ** design may not be necessary).  Direct manual labor can be supplied in order for the construction to be completed, if you deem it necessary.  Your landscape materials will also be supplied to you at a discounted rate from a local participating supplier. 

Question:  Do I receive an itemized list of necessary supplies for the job?

Answer:  Yes.  Our skilled staff will provide you with an itemized list of materials that can be purchased from a local supplier, at a discounted rate!  This means that you will know exactly what building supplies you need to get the job done, cheaper!

Question:  How much creative direction / advice do I get?

Answer:  The creative direction that you will be getting from us is carried out mainly in your landscape design process.  Here, we offer you educated advice, creativity and direction.  If you choose not to have a landscape design, we will assist you with making the right choices, at an hourly charge.  We can offer you our skilled advice regarding the design process, construction, labor and about what a realistic budget means.  The amount of involvement is dependent upon your needs.

Question:  What do I do if I need help along the way?

Answer:  Our knowledgeable staff is available to help you whenever you need us.  A consultation can be set up at any stage and is billed at an hourly rate.  We never leave you confused or without the necessary tools for the completion of your Lavish Oasis.

Question: What if I don't need or want a design?

Answer:  Some projects require a landscape design.  For example, projects such as those involving irrigation and drainage installation simply cannot be constructed without the detailed specification as to where they are being placed.  This means that there need to be some way to inform the labor force, including you, as to the location of  the pipes and drainage.  Additionally, pipe sizes need to be specified and hydraulic specifications must be noted.  In contrast, projects such as a simple "face lift" where a cleanup or a similar protocol is being followed would not require a landscape design.
